Taste of Philly scheduled for Saturday

Philadelphia Elementary will host its second annual Taste of Philly fundraising event on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 406 Stribling Street.

Man found hanging in motel

The death of a man found hanging in a Philadelphia motel room Monday morning is under investigation.

Neshoba Tennis wins Division

The Neshoba Central High School Tennis team finished the regular season with an 8-2 record, 5-0 in their division, earning the Class 6A Division 2 championship. 

Leake Academy baseball squad prepping for playoffs

The Leake Academy baseball team ended the regular season on a sour note last week, losing the last two games to East Rankin.

Yellowjackets lose in 1st round

The Union Yellowjackets saw their baseball season come to an end in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.

Jeffrey Gibson, a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, has been selected as a solo presenter at the Biennale Arte 2024 for the 60th International Art Exhibition at the United States Pavilion at the Giardini della Biennale in Venice, Italy. Mr. Gibson is the first Indigenous artist to represent the United States.
